Performing Arts News – 31 March


Term 1 (Take 2) Music Concert – Wednesday 26 April 6.30 pm

All students in the following Performing Arts groups from Year 2 are looking forward to performing the music and songs they have been rehearsing this year:

Pops Orchestra, Senior Orchestra, Junior String Ensemble, Senior String Ensemble, Junior Concert Band, Senior Concert Band, Stage Band, Year 2 and 3 Singers, Junior Singers, Senior Choir, Boys Vocal.

The concert date is Wednesday 26 April in the Multi Purpose Centre commencing at 6.30 pm. Musicians are requested to meet their teachers in the Performing Arts Centre at 6.00 pm. Singers will meet at 6.15 pm. Admission to the concert is free.

Bundaberg Regional Eisteddfod – Playhouse Theatre

The Speech and Drama Eisteddfod commences on Saturday 22 April and will run until Friday 28 April. Information regarding when the Drama students involved in the Group Improvisation and Duologues are performing will be emailed after the holidays and can be found on the school app.

Duologues: Saturday Evening 22 April, Playhouse Theatre

Group Improvisations: Friday 28 April (Morning Session), Playhouse Theatre

The Music Eisteddfod commences on Saturday 29 April and concludes on Thursday 4 May. Information regarding when the Small Vocal and Instrumental Ensembles will be performing will be emailed after the holidays and can be found on the school app.

Beginner Music Concert

Beginner music students in Year 4 – 7 were nervous but excited when they performed on Wednesday evening. This was a wonderful opportunity to show their parents how much they had learnt this term. Congratulations to all.

Amuseathon: Pre-Eisteddfod Concert – Cancelled

The Amuseathon which was scheduled in April has been cancelled; however students who are participating in solo or duet events at the Bundaberg Music Eisteddfod will have the opportunity to perform during lunchtime concerts in Week 1 and Week 2 of Term 2. This event is a wonderful chance for students to have a practice run of their pieces in front of a live supportive audience.
