Year 12 Examinations

Year 12 students have just completed their last examinations as students of St Luke’s Anglican School. As always, their behaviour has been exemplary and I congratulate them for their demeanour and attitude.

Speech Night

The St Luke’s Anglican School Speech Night is always a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge student achievement. As stated in the Principal’s letter, the highest standard of behaviour is expected from all students. Students and guests should arrive at the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre at 6.00 pm to be seated by 6.30 pm prior to the procession at 6.45 pm. Students are to wear formal uniform with all senior students wearing blazers and females students are to wear stockings. No hats are required.

Year 12 Formal Liturgy

The Year 12 Formal Liturgy will be held on Wednesday 15 November 2017 at 5.00 pm at Christ Church Anglican Church, Woongarra Street. Any members of the School community are welcome to attend this event.  As with last year, there will not be vehicle access by Woongarra Street as the gates to the Church will be closed. I ask that any drivers of cars are made aware of this and that students make it clear to them that they will not be able to collect anyone from within the Church grounds. On-street parking is available in Woongarra and Maryborough Streets. There is a drop-off and pick-up bay near the Southern Lytch Gate on Woongarra Street. Students from Gin Gin State High School will be dropped off at the Civic Centre at 5.30 pm so can I please request that drivers pick up St Luke’s students from either Maryborough Street or Woongarra Street. The traditional entrance to the Brothers Club by vehicle will remain the same. Students will begin arriving at the Brothers Club from 6.00 pm.

Year 12 Final Day

The final day for Year 12 commences with a service at Christ Church Anglican Church, Woongarra Street commencing at 9.00 am followed by a morning tea at the School. The graduation ceremony will take place in the MPC from around 10.30 am and will conclude with the Guard of Honour. All family members are invited to attend these events to share the day with the students.

Subject Selection Years 10 and 11 2018

As stated at the Subject Information evenings for Years 10 and 11, the subject line structure for Years 10 and 11 is created by the preference data given from the students, in addition to staffing and other school resources. On Thursday 2 November letters were mailed home confirming subject selections for Years 10 and 11, 2018. A great deal of time and effort has been spent trying to cater for individual student subject needs. Consultation has already taken place with a number of parents and students, however, if further discussion or advice is required please contact my Personal Assistant, Mrs Sarah Lawson on 4132 7523 to arrange an interview time.
